Pirates Advised to Sign Top 3 Stars by Their Former Player

Orlando Pirates, one of the top football clubs in South Africa, is aiming to strengthen its squad in order to achieve better results in the upcoming season. Last year, the team faced challenges in certain positions, particularly in the midfield, which left them vulnerable against other teams.

To address this issue, Benedict “Tso” Vilakazi, a former player of Pirates, has suggested that the club sign three key players who can make a positive impact on the team’s performance. This article will explore Vilakazi’s recommendations and discuss how these new signings could bring their expertise to Mayfair.

Orlando Pirates’ Recent Achievements

Despite missing out on the Premier Soccer League (PSL) title, Orlando Pirates had a successful season, clinching the MTN 8 and Nedbank Cup in the previous campaign. These achievements highlight the potential of the team to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns, the reigning PSL champions. However, Vilakazi believes that in order to truly compete with Sundowns and other top clubs, Pirates need to strengthen their squad with quality players.

The Suggested Signings

Vilakazi has identified two players from Stellenbosch FC, Junior Mandieta and Iqraam Rayners, as potential additions to the Pirates squad. He believes that their attacking prowess can cause trouble for any opposing team. Additionally, Vilakazi suggests bringing back Andile Jali, a former player of Orlando Pirates, to reinforce the midfield.

Jali’s experience and skill would make him an asset for the team. According to Vilakazi, if Pirates want to win the CAF Champions League, they need quality players like Jali, Mandieta, and Rayners to strengthen their lineup.

The Importance of Quality Signings

Vilakazi emphasizes that Orlando Pirates should focus on bringing in players who can contribute their experience and skills, rather than merely increasing the number of players on the team. These quality signings would not only enhance Pirates’ competitiveness in the league but also provide an advantage in continental competitions like the CAF Champions League.

Vilakazi believes that with the three players he mentioned, Pirates would be able to raise the overall quality of the squad and increase their chances of success both domestically and internationally.
