WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED RAPE OF 15-YEAR-OLD BOY IN LIMPOPO
A 42-year-old woman has been arrested in Khujwana Village, Limpopo, after being accused of raping a 15-year-old boy.The incident reportedly took place about two weeks ago. It is alleged that the woman, under the influence of alcohol at the time, called the teenager to her house, where she sexually assaulted him. After the act, she allegedly threatened him to stay silent.
The boy eventually confided in his parents, who immediately reported the matter to Ritavi Police Station. A case was opened, and police moved swiftly to investigate.The woman, who is said to be a mother of three, was arrested on Friday. She is expected to appear at the Ritavi Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Police have condemned the act and praised the boy for speaking up despite fear and trauma. Authorities also reminded the public that sexual abuse can happen to anyone — regardless of gender — and should always be reported.Investigations into the case continue.
