Eight arrested after armed robbery in Centurion

Eight suspects were arrested following a dramatic armed robbery and shootout in Sunderland Ridge, Centurion, today, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

The suspects reportedly held up a store at gunpoint, loading stolen goods into a truck while being escorted by a Kia vehicle. Security personnel were alerted and traced the vehicles to the R55 near Raslouw in the Wierda Park policing precinct. A shootout ensued between the suspects and security officers, resulting in one suspect and a security guard sustaining gunshot injuries.

The police responded promptly, arresting all eight suspects, including the injured individual. Two firearms, the truck, and the Kia vehicle were seized for further investigation. Authorities continue to investigate the suspects’ connections to other criminal activities in the area.
