Award-winning musician Kaylow cheats death again after another car accident

Award-winning South African musician Kaylow has confirmed that he is recovering in hospital after surviving a car crash over the weekend. The singer, best known for hits such as The Soul Café and Close Your Eyes, said the accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 18 October 2025.
According to a statement shared on his Instagram story, Kaylow revealed that the crash was caused by a tyre blowout while he was driving home from the studio in Ruimsig to his family in Pretoria. “In the early hours of Saturday, October 18, 2025, while driving home from the studio in Ruimsig to my family in Pretoria, I was unfortunately involved in a car accident caused by a tyre blowout on the N1 near Beyers Naudé,” he said.
He added that the blowout caused him to lose control of the vehicle, which was completely destroyed in the crash. “This incident led to a loss of control, resulting in a crash that has rendered the vehicle a total loss,” Kaylow explained.
The Sunday Morning hitmaker assured fans that he is recovering well and remains optimistic. “I am currently in hospital recovering and remain in good spirits. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my fans and the public for their concern and support,” he wrote.Kaylow’s management team has not released further details on his condition but confirmed that he is stable and under medical care. Fans and fellow musicians have flooded his social media pages with messages of love and encouragement, wishing him a speedy recovery.
This is not the first time the artist has been involved in a car accident, sparking renewed concern about his safety on the road.
