Lady Who Is A Foreigner In SA Who Killed Her SA Boyfriend & Buried His Body Parts Has Been Identified

Ermelo, Mpumalanga – August 15, 2025 – Police in Ermelo have arrested a 33-year-old foreign national woman in connection with the gruesome murder of her boyfriend, whose mutilated remains were discovered earlier this week.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been released pending her court appearance, is scheduled to appear in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on a charge of murder. According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the victim, identified as Maseko, was found dead under disturbing circumstances at a residence in the township.“Preliminary investigations indicate that an argument between the suspect and the deceased preceded the incident,” said Mohlala. “The motive for the crime remains under investigation.”

Police were alerted after neighbours reported a foul smell and smoke coming from the property. Upon arrival, officers made a horrific discovery. Maseko’s body had been dismembered, with some parts found stuffed inside a plastic bag and a maize meal bag in the bathroom. Other body parts were discover

ed outside the house, partially burned.Paramedics were called to the scene but could only certify Maseko dead. The woman was arrested on-site without incident.Community members have expressed shock and outrage over the brutality of the killing. “We are deeply disturbed. This is something we have only heard about in the news, not something we expected to happen right next door,” said one neighbour, who requested anonymity.

Police have confirmed that forensic experts are conducting further examinations to determine the exact cause of death and whether any additional individuals may have been involved. Authorities are also probing the nature of the couple’s relationship, as well as any history of domestic violence.

The arrest comes amid rising concerns about violent crimes in the province, with law enforcement officials reiterating their commitment to bringing perpetrators to justice.“This is a deeply unsettling case. We want to reassure the community that no stone will be left unturned in our investigation,” Brigadier Mohlala said. “We also urge residents to report domestic disputes before they escalate into tragedy.”

The suspect remains in police custody until her court appearance tomorrow, where prosecutors are expected to oppose bail given the severity of the allegations.Police have appealed to anyone with further information about the events leading up to the murder to come forward.The investigation is ongoing.
