John Fogerty Praises Bruce Springsteen for Speaking Out Against Donald Trump

Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty has commended Bruce Springsteen for publicly criticising former U.S. President Donald Trump and staying true to his values.
Speaking on Monday following the publication of Springsteen’s Rolling Stone interview, Fogerty said he was “really proud of Bruce for just sticking up for his values and not being afraid to voice them.” Springsteen, known for hits such as Born to Run and Dancing in the Dark, has been an outspoken critic of Trump for nearly a decade.
During his latest world tour, Springsteen has reportedly included a brief anti-Trump message in his shows, urging audiences to view the former president as “a threat to civilization” that must be resisted. The Rolling Stone interview continued this stance, with Springsteen calling for political engagement and unity in the face of divisive leadership.
Fogerty, famous for Creedence Clearwater Revival classics like Down on the Corner and Fortunate Son, said he admired Springsteen’s courage in using his platform to speak out on political issues.
Neither Springsteen nor Trump has issued further comment on the exchange, but both musicians’ political views remain a talking point among fans and critics alike.
