Seventeen-year-old Nolwandle Mhlongo, affectionately known as Sisi, has been reported missing from Hambanathi, KwaZulu-Natal, prompting urgent calls for public assistance in locating her.Mhlongo, who lives on Phili Road, is a Grade 11 learner at Nkosibombvu High School, which is situated near her home. According to information provided, she left her residence at approximately 17:00 on Sunday, August 10, 2025, and has not been seen since.

At the time of her disappearance, Mhlongo was wearing denim shorts, a black t-shirt, and red sandals. Authorities have noted that she has a history of extended absences, but her prolonged silence this time has raised concern among family members, the community, and local authorities.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has been tasked with coordinating the search efforts and has appealed to the public for any information that could assist in locating the teenager. “Kindly contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 086 1234 333 if you have any information regarding the missing teenager,” the statement reads.

Residents in and around Hambanathi are urged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or leads immediately. The community has also been encouraged to circulate her photograph and details widely to maximise the chances of finding her.

As the search intensifies, the priority remains ensuring the safe return of the young student. Public cooperation is considered vital in helping bring her home.
